Week 39: Dry Marble Manicure

Here is my most successful attempt at a dry marble manicure. My color inspiration comes from my favorite soccer team in the world:
I started with Co-Bolt Blue and I added Rapid Red (both from Sally Hansen) and swirled it when both colors were still wet.

Week 38: Magnetic/Metallic Manicure

Hey!
Magnetic polishes are not my favorite, but here is one I created with Blueberry by Nabi. I know, it's not a blueberry color, but it's still cute. My magnet came defective, so I used a random magnet and I got vertical lines :) I stamped with Silver Sweep by Sally Hansen and plate SE19.

IC Awareness Manicure (Entry to JennaFroggy's Contest)

Hi,
One of the things I love about blogging is that I learn new things by reading nail artists' posts. A couple of days ago I was catching up with Jenna's blog (LINK HERE) and I saw that she was hosting a contest as a way of becoming aware of interstitial cystitis. September and teal are the IC awareness month and color respectively. It was through Jenna that I learned more about IC and I do not regret visiting the IC Awareness website. Thanks Jen!
As a way of doing a manicure for this cause, I used a teal background with white daisies (IC Awareness flower) and a teal ribbon. I seriously love those daisies!!! This is the collage picture I submitted to Jen's contest, and I hope you like the rest :)

Picture overload!

Jen's contest ends on 9/23 @ 11:59pm EST!

Week 37: "We Remember" Manicure

I know that 9/11 is a very tragic memory for many in the US and around the world. I did not want to do a manicure portraying what happened because there is no way I could have honored the innocent victims of such date with my nails. I am sorry, that's why I am posting this.
I remember that in 2001, I did not like red polish. In fact, I hated nail polish because my application and finish was too messy. Yeah, I was really young and careless about my nails. So today I have an improved picture of the manicure I wish I could have 11 years ago.
I used Sation Class Flirt with plate B65 using Konad White and acrylic paint for the dots.

Week 36: Tape Manicure

I love the polish Tropicalia by Wet n Wild Megalast. It is my favorite polish to wear on my toes. This time, I used it for my tape manicure as a base. I applied striping tape randomly and applied one coat of Black Creme by Wet n Wild. The tape did not come out smoothly; the polish started drying too soon and there are areas where you can see the black polish messing up my lines. I liked it a lot regardless of the ugly incidents:

Week 35: Cupcake Manicure

I had never done a cupcake manicure and it was easier than I thought. I did not use any new polishes, just random pinks and glitters. The white and red are both acrylic paints. Sadly, my cupcakes just lasted one day. Here are some pictures:

Week 34: Bling Manicure

For this manicure, I started with one coat of Lightening by Sally Hansen Insta-Dri followed by two coats of Lighthouse by China Glaze. I stamped the diamonds from plate m37 using Black Expressionism by Finger Paints.
