Birthday Nails and my First Zoyas!

Hello :)
A few days ago I was notified by Natalie from heartNAT that I had been the winner of her 700 follower giveaway! I was so happy and more thrilled once I got my package in the mail a few days ago. I opened the box and found 6 beautiful Zoyas meticulously wrapped... *Sigh*... So here is MY Zoya Surf Collection. Thank you Natalie <3

Today is my birthday and after I unwrapped the Zoya polishes I looked at Myrta and said, "You are my birthday polish". And here it is with plate m77 and Konad White:

2 coats are enough for opacity. I have been getting so many compliments on my nails, even the guys in my lab come up to me every 2 days so they can see the manicure I have on.

Week 29: Rockstar Manicure (Pic Heavy)

I was about 5 years old when I started watching Jem and the Holograms. I loved the music, the clothes, the dance moves, the crazy hair and the make up. They reminded me of my Barbie dolls and that's why I would not miss an episode everyday. This cartoon was created by the same people who came up with G.I. Joe and Transformers, which I would also watch...

Okay, okay, the challenge. This was really hard because for some reason, nothing was working for me when I was trying to come up with a Jem design. I will show you 3 rockstar nail designs I came up with. I don't always post manis I am unpleased with, but I figured it is all part of the process. Sometimes the manicure looks way better in our heads and our hands, polishes and stamps are not harmoniously working to give us a pretty result.

I loved the first one because it's fun. A little chaotic but fun. I got mani compliments on the third one though, I think that the simplicity and the hexies made it stand out more.

Essie 'Big Spender' and Stamping

Last time I used Big Spender by Essie, my manicure did not come out the way I saw it in my head. In fact, lately I have been a little uninspired and I don't know why. Well, I gave this polish a second chance with a more decent manicure. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep  to stamp and plate m76.
La última vez que usé Big Spender de Essie, mi manicura no salió como la visualicé. De hecho, he estado un poco sin inspiración ultimamente. Bueno, le di una digna segunda oportunidad a éste esmalte. Usé Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep y la plaquita m76.

Geometric & Neon Manicure

Hello there :)
This manicure is a few weeks old, I got caught up with life and other stuff and that's why I have been so inconsistent with my posting. So... I am sorry...
This manicure was an entry for Shelly's Sassy Nails Sassy Saturday 7/12. The theme was color blocking and this is what I came up with. As a base I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lightening and I created the rectangles and square by using nail tape. The polishes I used are by Kleancolor: Catch Me, Neon Pink, Neon Purple and Neon Blue.

Éste manicure lo hice hace un pare de semanas, pero pues sucedieron cosas en mi vida y es por eso que mis entradas al blog han sido irregulares. Lo siento...
Mi manicure fue una entrada al Sassy Saturday 7/12 de Shelly's Sassy Nails. La temática era "color blocking" y ésto se me ocurrió. La base amarilla es Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lightening e hice los rectángulos y cuadrado utilizando cinta adhesiva para las uñas. Los esmaltes que utilicé son de Kleancolor:  Catch Me, Neon Pink, Neon Purple and Neon Blue.

Week: 28 Gradient Manicure

I am a week late, I know... I am also aware of my lack of posting lately. Things happened and I was not emotionally stable to blog. I am better now and I figured out my schedule to still have time to post from time to time. Enjoy this not-so-great manicure, I got many compliments on it including compliments from guys. Haha. I would have thought men did not really notice those things. It was through this manicure that I came across a girl in my lab who is also into stamping and nail polish. It's nice to give advice and get tips from other people...
