Week 7: "Valentine's Day" Manicure

It's been a long time!!!
I feel like I haven't posted in ages... This is the manicure I wore for Valentine's Day. I know it is not the best and it is nothing close to what I wanted, but I am adjusting to a new schedule and stuff... I will update you on that. So, I started with 2 coats of 369 by Freshcover, my favorite red ever. This polish is special because it was the shade that made me fall in love with reds :) The stamping was done with SE21 and m19. I used an old Sally Hansen polish in the color White Tip. I decided to give White Tip a chance because it got thick and old, as I said, it is not a perfect mani, but I was okay with the result. Sorry for the rushed post, I promise not to abandon you ladies. I hope you had a great V-Day, much love to all of you!

Siento que han sido siglos sin haber publicado algo... Éste es el manicure que usé para el día de San Valentín. Estoy consciente que no es el mejor y que tampoco está nada cerca de lo que deseaba, pero me estoy ajustando a un nuevo horario y a otras cosas... Les traeré una entrada acerca de eso próximamente. Empecé con 2 capas del color 369 de Freschover, mi rojo favorito. Éste esmalte es especial para mi porque fue el que me hizo enamorarme de los rojos. El estampado lo hice con los platillos SE21 y m19. Usé el esmalte blanco de Sally Hansen llamado White Tip. Lo usé porque es un esmalte viejo que ya se puso espeso y pues me convenció como quedó. Perdón por la publicación tan apresurada, prometo no abandonarlas. Espero hayan tenido un lindo día de San Valentín, mucho amor para todas!

Week 6: Half-Moon Manicure

This is my second attempt to a half-moon mani. I was not pleased with the first one I published, but this one is an improvement. I used the paper reinforcements just as pretty much everyone and as a background I chose Jesse's Girl in Firefly. The other color I picked was Ace by Nabi. It comes off red/coral in pictures but it is actually a raspberry pink. I am in love with the shade and it was opaque with one coat. Did I mention it was only $1?
Éste es mi segundo intento con uñas de media luna. No estuve completamente con el primer manicure de media luna que hice hace un tiempo, pero creo que mejoré en éste. Utilicé los protectores de las hojas de papel como lo hace casi todo el mundo y para fondo usé Firefly de Jesse's Girl. El otro color es Ace de Nabi. En la foto se ve rojo/coral pero es un color rosado frambuesa. Me gusta mucho ese color y con una capa tuve la opacidad que deseaba. Les conté que me costó sólo $1?

'Lacey Lilac' + BM209 + m72

Hello again!
On to another pastel manicure... For this one I started with 2 coats of Lacey Lilac by Sally Hansen. The silver stamping was done with plate BM209 and Silver Sweep by Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. I thought it looked like a chain link fence and I added some hibiscus flowers from plate m72 and stamped with Konad White. Although I like the idea, I think the white and silver sort of muddled... It looked better in the sun. Does this count as a nail fail???
Ahora con otro manicure en color pastel... Para este empecé con 2 capas de Lacey Lilac de Sally Hansen. El estampado en plateado es del platillo BM209 usando el esmalte Sally Hansen Insta-Dri en el color Silver Sweep. Para mí, parecia una valla/cerca y entonces agregué unas flores de hibisco del platillo m72 con el esmalte Konad White. A pesar que me gustó la idea, creo que el blanco y plateado se confundieron mucho... Se veía mejor en el sol. Cuenta esto como un manicure fallido???

'Mellow Yellow' and m02 Flowers

Hello there!
I came up with a very simple manicure this time. I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow and then I added Sinful Colors in Pearl Harbor to the tips. I picked a simple flower from my m02 plate and stamped with WnW in Black Creme.
Les traigo un manicure muy sencillo esta vez. Empecé con 2 capas de Mellow Yellow de Sally Hansen y en las puntas coloqué brillantina de Sinful Colors llamada Pearl Harbor. Tomé un diseño de flor sencillo de mi platillo m02 y usé el esmalte Black Creme de WnW para estampar.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Silver Sweep + BM-203

Hello again :)
As you may know, I had been sick during the past few days and I did not do my nails during that time. The day right before I started feeling bad, I did this manicure. It is really simple, but it I love how intricate it looks. For these nails, I used one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Silver Sweep and BM-203 using Konad Special White polish.
Como han de saber, estuve enferma hace unos días y no me pinté las uñas durante ese tiempo. El día antes que me empecé a sentir mal me hice éste manicure. Es muy simple, pero a la vez me gusta que se ve intrigante. Usé una capa de Sally Hansen Insta-Dri en Silver Sweep el platillo BM-203 usando el esmalte especial de Konad en blanco.

Week 3: Color Block Mani

For Week 3, I was a little unsure on how to take on color blocking. I took my favorite bright pink, a bright purple and yellow acrylic paint. I know, I know, it is simple, but it is bright and quite odd for me. The colors I used are: Flower Pink by Santee, Wild Thing by Jesse's Girl and Bright Yellow by Craft Smart. I have no idea why my purple is showing up differently, I was so stressed out because I could not get the right colors for the picture...

Pink and Flowers (Plate m02)

Hello my dear readers!
What I am showing you today is a nail design I AM IN LOVE WITH! I love pink, flowers, shimmer, and I miss spring time. Also, this was my first time trying out BornPrettyStore nail plates. If you read THIS POST you know that I received a prize from one of Marta's giveaways (ChitChatNails.com). I am so happy with the quality and the design variety, I just jumped in with one coat of Freshcover 851, one coat of Sinful Colors Forget Now. Then I stamped with plate m02 using Konad White polish... I love this manicure, I think pink is my color :)

Week 2: French Tip Mani

Hello!
For week 2 of this challenge, I kept it really simple and classic. I did not go crazy with colors because a memory came to mind about french tips. I was about 14 years old and my cousin who was 20 (or 21) took me to a nail salon. That was my first time ever and I got a french mani. I had stubbies back then and it sucked because I could not grow pretty nails... I had brittle and plain ugly nails. I went back memory lane 9 years and now, I have the nails I thought I could never have. I am really happy and I am glad I could bring that memory and say that now I love my nails and that I did them myself :)
I used:

• Glass Pink by Sinful Colors
• White by Kleancolor
• Silver Glitter and White Stripers
• Black (acrylic paint) by Craft Smart

Sinful Colors 'Gorgeous' and BM-213

This is a very simple, yet cute manicure. I applied two coats of Sinful Colors 'Gorgeous' and stamped with the plate BM-213 using the polish Sally Hansen Insta-Dri 'Silver Sweep'. It took me no time and I was happy with the result.
Éste es un diseño de uñas muy simple pero que a la vez queda muy lindo. Empecé con dos capas de Sinful Colors 'Gorgeous' y para la imagen, usé el platillo BM-213 con el esmalte plateado Sally Hansen Insta-Dri 'Silver Sweep'. No me tomó mucho tiempo conseguir el resultado y me quedé muy satisfecha con el.

Week 1: "Make It Sparkle" Mani

I recently became aware of the "A Year's Challenge" and I am really excited because I have never been part of a challenge or anything. I saw it first in Jenna's blog I'm Still Thinking. Let me tell you I wore this mani on New Year's Eve/Day and it is one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Co-Bolt Blue and one coat of Starry Silver Glitter by NYC. Enjoy.

Candy Canes and Holly Nail Design

Hola!
This is my first festive and holiday related manicure. I remember when I was not into nail art, I attempted some candy cane design and I failed miserably. This year is different because now, I feel a passion for nails. Let me tell you that I LOVE peppermint candy canes, it is my favorite candy. Here is what I accomplished this time to get into the whole Christmas celebration this year.

For this manicure, I used the following polishes:-For candy cane nails:
     *Freshcover #369
     *Kiss Nail Art Polish White
-For holly nails:
     *Freshcover #369 (for berries and tips)
     *Kiss Nail Art Polish White (for outlining tip)
     *Sinful Colors Happy Ending (for leaves)
     * Jesse's Girl Firefly (background)

It took me about 20 minutes to get this done and I just love how it came out. Here are some more shots:

Flowers on Cement with BM-221

Hey!
Today, the nail design is using one of the full nail stamps from the Bundle Monster plates. I used Santee Perfect Gray as a background and I stamped with the plate BM-221. For the stamping polishes I used Wet n Wild Black Creme and Kleancolor White. I loved the turn out!
Hoy, el diseño para uñas que traigo es usando una de las plantillas de Bundle Monster. Usé Perfect Gray de Santee como fondo y el sello es de la plantilla BM-221. Para los sellos utilicé los esmaltes Black Creme de Wet n Wild y White de Kleancolor. Me gustó mucho como quedó.

BM201 Swirls and WnW Buffy the Violet Slayer

My Bundle Monster plates arrived a few days ago and here is my first mani using one of them. I used plate BM201 over two coats of Buffy the Violet Slayer by Wet n Wild. For stamping I used Konad White special polish.
Mis plantillas de Bundle Monster llegaron hace unos dias y este es el primer manicure que hice con una de ellas. Use la plantilla BM201 sobre 2 capas de Buffy the Violet Slayer de Wet n Wild. Para los sellos use el esmalte especials Konad Blanco.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
This manicure is a way to say thanks to all of you who have visited my blog and those of you who have supported me from the beginning. I really appreciate your comments and visits :) This mani looks more like a Valentine's Day look but there is not a set date to express love right? When I was doing my nails I was on the phone with my boyfriend and he said that he wanted me to add hearts... And so I did, once again thank you so much!!!

Winter Leopard Print

Hi again!
