Orange Blossoms: Glitter and Stamping

Hello :)
This is a quick post, again. I really loved this manicure, I started with 2 coats of Baby Orange by Nabi and 1 coat of 9021Orange by Wet n Wild. If you see little blue/green specks it's because I added a coat of Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor glitter to give it dimension. The flowers are from plate SE19 and I stamped with the polishes Black Creme from Wet n Wild and Konad White.
Ésta es una entrada breve, otra vez. Me gustó mucho este diseño, empecé con 2 capas de Baby Orange de la marca Nabi y después una capa de 9021Orange de Wet n Wild. Si logras ver brillos verdes/azules es porque apliqué también una capa de la brillantina Pearl Harbor de Sinful Colors. Las flores son del platillo SE19 y estampé con los esmaltes Black Creme de WnW y Konad White.

I Need a Refresh-Mint + Stamping

Hello :)
This is a manicure I wore a few days ago. I got I Need a Refreshmint from WnW Megalast line because I had a $2.00 coupon for CVS and it was the last one on the shelf. I had been looking for it, but I could not find it. I am not sure, but rumor has it that it is a dupe for CG For Audrey. Anyway, I love this shade! I stamped using plate BM224 using WnW Black Creme. The stamping is not perfect, I know...
Random fact of the day: This week I had a quiz, a lab practical and a midterm exam. I did not sleep well until last night I believe... I am just glad I did very well on all three :)
Hola! Este manicure lo tuve hace un par de días; compré I Need a Refresh-Mint de la línea Megalast de WnW porque tenía un cupón de $2.00 para CVS y era el último en el estante. Lo había buscado con aterioridad, pero no lo encontraba ya que el rumor es que es el clon de For Audrey de CG. Bueno, me gustó mucho éste tono. Estampé con el platillo BM224 usando WnW Black Creme. Lo sé, el estampado no es perfecto...
Curiosidad del día: Ésta semana tuve un quiz, examen de laboratorio y un examen. No dormí bien hasta anoche... Estoy demasiado contenta porque me fue super bien en los tres :)

Week 9: Vintage Manicure

I am excited about this post. This manicure is one of my favorites so far... When I think of vintage, I think of pin-up girls, red lips, fishnets and roses. That's what I did for this week. I got so many compliments on this look! I hope you like it :)
Estoy muy emocionada por la entrada de hoy. Éste manicure es uno de mis favoritos hasta ahora... Cuando pienso en algo vintage, imagino chicas pin-up, labios rojos, medias/mallas y rosas. Eso hice para esta semana. A muchas personas les gustó este look. Espero sea de su agrado.

Week 5: Newspaper Nails

Hey :)
Here are the nails I came up with for this week. They are my first attempt at newsprint nails. For this design I used black and white base nail polishes, the small red hearts are from the plate Konad m3 with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Rapid Red and the other stamp is from the plate SE20.

Flowers on Cement with BM-221

Hey!
Today, the nail design is using one of the full nail stamps from the Bundle Monster plates. I used Santee Perfect Gray as a background and I stamped with the plate BM-221. For the stamping polishes I used Wet n Wild Black Creme and Kleancolor White. I loved the turn out!
Hoy, el diseño para uñas que traigo es usando una de las plantillas de Bundle Monster. Usé Perfect Gray de Santee como fondo y el sello es de la plantilla BM-221. Para los sellos utilicé los esmaltes Black Creme de Wet n Wild y White de Kleancolor. Me gustó mucho como quedó.

Juicy Yellow, Mellow Yellow

Hello!
This time I am using Mellow Yellow by Sally Hansen. I added a coat of Firefly by Jesse's Girl which gave it dimension. To finish up, I added black dots with Black Creme by WnW and a flower on my ring and thumb nails. Simple, huh?
Ahora estoy usando Mellow Yellow de Sally Hansen. Agregué una capa de Firefly de Jesse's Girl el cual le dió dimensión. Para terminar, coloqué puntos negros con el esmalte Black Creme de WnW y una flor en las uñas de los dedos anular y pulgares.

Long ago, I started watching nail tutorials on YT but I never did any of them because my nails were so brittle and ugly that I could not do anything. I came across the channel Love4Nails by Raquel and she is just AMAZING! I remember that she would do some cute and different french tip manicures and this one I did is sort of reminiscent of her awesomeness. I hope you like my attempt to be cool :P
Hace tiempo, empecé a ver videos de manicures en YT pero nunca intenté nada porque mis uñas eran tan frágiles y feas que no podia hacer nada con ellas. Una vez, me crucé con el canal de Raquel; Love4Nails y ella es MARAVILLOSA! Recuerdo que ella tiene tutoriales de manicure franceses poco comunes y éste que muesto aquí está inspirado en uno que ella hizo. Espero les guste mi intento de hacer algo cool :P

Flowers, Dots and Glitter

This nail look came to me as an improvisation because, just as anytime, I do not know what to do. So here we go. Before getting into the tutorial itself, I would like to mention that many times I do not post detailed step-by-step pictures, that is because many times I start doing my nails and I get too focused and it is until I am basically done that I say, "Hmm, PICTURES!!!!". I think I will be doing this look again and I promise I will take pics this time around.

Éste manicure salió de una improvisación porque como siempre, no sabía que hacer. Aquí vamos. Antes de iniciar el tutorial, me gustaría mencionar que muchas veces to coloco fotos detalladas del paso a paso, eso es porque muchas veces cuando arreglo mis uñas, me enfoco mucho en lo que hago y no es sino hasta que he terminado que me doy cuenta que no he tomado fotos. Haré nuevamente este manicure en otra oportunidad, prometo tomar fotos esta vez.

Start with two coats of Gorgeous by Sinful Colors, a green-turquoise polish with some iridescence.
Empieza con dos capas de Gorgeous de Sinful Colors, que es un verde turquesa tornasol.

Then, do a diagonal with silver and do little half circles to resemble lace.
Traza una diagonal con plateado y haz medias lunas para que parezca encaje.

On one of the corners, do a 4-petaled flower and add some random dots.

En una de las esquinas, haz una flor de 4 pétalos y agrega puntos al azar.

Seal it off with a top coat.
Séllalo con un protector de esmalte.

Flowers and Leaves

Hello there!I am showing you pictures of a manicure I did a few days ago. I had no idea on what to do and my mom said, "do some flowers and leaves". Thanks for the idea mommy! I really loved the end result and I hope you love them.
Estoy mostrando ahora fotos de un manicure que hice unos días. No sabía que hacer y mi mamá dijo "Qué tal florecitas y hojas?". Gracias ma' por la idea! Me gustó mucho el resultado y espero les agrade.

For this design I started with 2 coats of Kleancolor in White and then added one coat of Sinful Color's Nail Junkie.
Para éste diseño empecé con 2 capas de Blanco de Kleancolor y luego una capa de Nail Junkie de Sinful Colors.

With Santee's Pink Flower I drew half of a flower in the near the cuticle and then added some leaves with Sinful Color's Happy Ending. Then I placed some black dots in the center of the flowers.
Con el color Flower Pink de Santee dibujé la mitad de una flor en la parte más cercana a la cutícula y también agregué hojas con el color Happy Ending de Sinful Colors. Finalmente coloqué unos puntos negros en el centro de las flores.

Bright Pink Manicure

I had had a Santee nail polish sitting around for a while but the color is so bright that I did not know how to use it. To start off, the name of the polish is Pink Flower and it is a neon pink. The polish itself has a nice formula and I only used one coat to achieve full coverage. I hope you like it!
He tenido un esmalte Santee por algun tiempo pero el color es tan fuerte que no sabía como usarlo. Para empezar, el esmalte se llama Pink Flower y es un rosado neon. El esmalte en sí tiene una buena consistencia y usé nada más una capa para lograr una cobertura completa. Espero les guste.

 Apply one coat of a light pink polish (Glass Pink by Sinful Colors).
Aplica una capa de rosado pálido (Glass Pink de Sinful Colors).

Do a side swipe with a neon pink (Flower Pink by Santee).
Cubre la mitad de la uña por un lado con un rosado neon (Flower Pink de Santee).

Do the other side with black (Black Creme by WnW).
Haz el otro lado con negro (Black Creme de WnW).

Add dots and rhinestones. Doesn't it look neat on short nails? Imagine it on longer nails!
Agrega puntos y piedritas. No se ve lindo en uñas cortas? Imagínalo en uñas un poco más largas!

Silver and Dots

Hi Again!
I gave Kleancolor polishes a try and I was a little skeptical after my crackle polish experiment (link to post). The polish I used is called Pearl Silver and it is a beautiful shade with lots of shimmer and it is a million times better than the crackle polishes. I used two coats of that and then I just did some random black and white dots. Nothing special. I hope you like it! By the way, my nails have grown, and this design will work on either long or short nails.

Le dí una oportunidad a los esmaltes de Kleancolor y honestamente, estaba un poquito insegura después de haber hecho mi experimento con los esmaltes que se agrietan (enlace aquí para el experimento). El esmalte que usé hoy se llama Pearl Silver de Kleancolor y es un color muy bonito con mucho brillo y es un millón de veces mejor que el esmalte que se agrieta. Utilicé dos capas de éste y luego solo agregué unos puntos en blanco y negro. Nada especial, espero que les guste! Por cierto, mis uñas han crecido, pero aún asi, este diseño luce bien en uñas cortas o largas.

Cute Pastels

Today I tried sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac which is a beautiful lilac pastel. This is after 2 coats and I think it looks nice on short nails (will look gorgeous once my nails grow!)
Hoy probé Lacey Lilac de Sally Hansen el cual es un lila pastel muy bonito. Esto es después de dos capas y creo que queda muy bien en uñas cortas (se verá muy lindo una vez que mis uñas crezcan).

After that, I decided to take a crafty pair of scissors and painter's tape. 
Luego tomé un par de tijeras y cinta adhesiva.

Cut a piece of tape and place it over the nail in whichever direction you prefer. (I did it only on my thumb and ring finger). 
Corta un pedazo de cinta y colócalo sobre la uña en la dirección que prefieras.  (Yo lo hice únicamente en mi dedo gordo y el anular).

 

Apply black nail polish. I am using Wet n Wild's Black Créme. Take tape off.

Aplica esmalte negro, yo usé Black Créme de Wet n Wild. Retira la cinta adhesiva.

 

Add a top coat. The end.

Aplica un protector de esmalte. El fin.
