WnW Megalast 'I Red a Good Book' with Nail Art

This is just a quick post of free-handed nail art I did using 'I Red a Good Book' by WnW as a base. The swirls and dots were done with black and white acrylic paint respectively. I added some silver glitter from a nail art pen.

Hits 'Trendy'

Week 21: Fruit Manicure

Juicy manicure ahead!
There is one thing I love about spring/summer and that is having delicious, ripe, and juicy fruits available locally! This manicure is a fruity one as you can see and I ventured using a small brush, acrylic paints and a bit of patience. I was proud enough when my mom thought I had used stickers! Oh, the base color is I Need a Refresh-Mint by WnW Megalast.

Una de las cosas que más disfruto de la temporada primavera/verano es tener disponibilidad de diferentes frutas de acuerdo a la temporada! Como pueden darse cuenta, las uñas de hoy son protagonizadas por frutas. Me dí la tarea de usar un pincel pequeño, pinturas acrílicas y un poco de paciencia. Me bastó cuando mi mamá creyó que había utilizado calcomanías/pegatinas! Por cierto, el color base que ven es WnW Megalast en el color I Need a Refresh-Mint.

My Entry to Amandalandish's Nail Art(ish) Spring Competition

Hello ladies!

Today I am sharing with you a manicure I submitted to Amandalandish's Nail Art(ish) Competition. I have included the link for you to check it out, it ends on May 25th. For my entry I started with 2 coats of WnW White Creme followed by 1 coat of Jesse's Girl Firefly. The green for the gradient is Kleancolor Metallic Green which I just sponged on. The floral stamp is from plate BM-224with the polish Ebony Hates Chris by WnW. I dotted the centers of the flowers with a dotting tool and random neons by Kleancolor. El día de hoy les comparto un diseño de uñas que sometí al concurso de Amandalandish llamado Nail Art(ish) Competition.  He incluído el enlace a su página y al concurso para que lo vean, termina el 25 de mayo. Para mi entrada, empecé con dos capas de White Creme de WnW seguidas con una capa de Jesse's Girl en el color Firefly. El verde que usé en el degradado es Metallic Green de Kleancolor. El sello floral es de la plaquita BM-224 con el esmalte de WnW Ebony Hates Chris. Los centros de las flores los hice con un puntero y colores neones de Kleancolor. Espero les haya gustado y sometan sus entradas si aún no lo hacen.

Week 20: Bows Manicure

Hello :)
This is a really simple and girly manicure. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen On the Rocks which is a shimmery and sheer pink. I then added three nail tape stripes to each nail. I finished off with some white dots and bows which I did with acrylic paint.
Éste es un manicure muy simple y femenino. Empecé con dos capas de Sally Hansen On the Rocks el cual es un rosado brillante poco cubriente. Agregué tres tiritas de cinta adhesiva para las uñas. Terminé con puntitos y moñitos blancos hechos con pintura acrílica.

Whimsical by Revlon

I had read and seen the hype originated by Revlon's Whimsical. I had not seen it at my local pharmacies or stores, so I just said to myself, "Carol, you don't need it". Well, I stopped by my local Rite Aid last week to see what deals they had and as I approached the Revlon nail stand, there it was, just among other few polishes I did not even care to see... Whimsical, my Whimsical. I had convinced myself I did not need it, but I could not resist how pretty it looked in addition to the fact that I only paid $2.50 (I think) for it. I applied 2 coats of it over white. I love it!
Había leído y visto la sensación que ocasionó el esmalte Whimsical de Revlon. No lo ví por ningún lado y entonces me convencí que no lo necesitaba. La semana pasada pasé a Rite Aid a ver que ofertas tenían y cuando me acerqué al estante de Revlon, allí estaba, entre un par de esmaltes que ni me detuve a mirar... Whimsical, el mío. A pesar que me había convencido que no lo necesitaba, no me pude resistir lo lindo que se veía además que solo pagué $2.50 por el. Lo apliqué sobre blanco en mis uñas cortas.

I know I am behind on the weekly challenge, but I have an exciting post today. I submitted and entry to soguesswhat11's nail art contest on YouTube. I did a purple gradient with flowers and hex glitters inspired by a pink gradient with butterflies that she did. If you don't already follow her, Gina is amazing and highly addictive, I love her!
Ya sé que estoy una vez más atrasada con el reto semanal, pero para hoy tengo algo especial. Sometí ésta manicure al concurso de soguesswhat11 en YouTube. Hice un degradado en morado con flores y brillos hexagonales inspirado en uno rosado con mariposas que ella hizo. Si aún no la sigues, Gina es demasiado buena y adictiva, a mi me encanta ver lo que hace!
