Chevrons and Glitter and Bows. Oh, my!

Hi everyone!
I'm sorry I have been so MIA but life happens... along with my nails peeling like crazy. I had to file them down and they have stopped peeling but now, I have to grow them out and make sure they are healthy again.
I have seen so many mixed manicures lately, especially from Marta from the blog ChitChatNails.com. I tried to do a skittlette as she called it, but I was just picking random polishes and stamps. Well, here is the end result.
Base (Pink) - Sinful Colors Cream Pink
Holo Glitter - B Touch Multisilver G
Glitter (Pink) - Jordana Magenta Magic
Stamps - Bow m59, Chevrons BM 201

Pebbles and Bows

Hello :)
If you follow me on Facebook, you know that my computer was at the doctor's just getting a facelift... On Tuesday night, I made a video for a contest hosted by Creativenailart on YouTube and I was able to edit and upload it. Right after, my computer froze and it started making a weird noise... I had to take it to the technician, I mean, doctor and I did so the next morning. It was until yesterday that I got my baby back! It is running perfectly now, I am glad I have someone I trust who can fix these issues :)
On to the nails - I had meant to show the mani for the contest I entered, but I had not had the chance to edit the pictures and what not... I am showing you here a simple and girly manicure which I really liked.
Base: Jordana Soft Pink
Stamps:  BM211 and m59
Stamping polishes: Konad White and WnW Black Creme

Week 50: Snowflake Manicure

As I mention in my Snow post, I love snowflakes; I love snow and winter but I highly dislike being cold. I suffer from cold hands and feet... It is quite painful sometimes. Here is my snowflake manicure along with what I used:
Tips: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Rapid Red
Glitter: Jordana Hot Flash
Stamping plate and polish: m59 and Konad White

Week 1: Snow

One of the things I fell in love with when I went to Yosemite National Park a few years ago was snow. It does not snow here in Southern California but it does in the mountains. I remember people would say that each snowflake had a very intricate pattern; just like the ones in cartoons. I did not believe it until I saw it myself... Tiny snowflakes with very delicate lace-like patterns; I fell in love.
I was kindly invited by Nail Polish Canada to join their Holiday Nail Art Challenge and I gladly accepted. For week 1 the inspiration is snow everything! Here is my manicure.
I hope you like it and please do not forget to vote for me!
I hope you are having an awesome Thanksgiving weekend (I am off to write a paper, yay! - not!)
xoxo,
Carol

Week 24: Flag Manicure

Hello there!
I am finally catching up with the 1-year challenge. Today I will show you a pre-patriotic manicure I came up with last week when Ms. Lizard came up with a patriotic manicure contest. For this, I used a white (Kleancolor White) and a red (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Rapid Red) base. Then I stamped bows from plate m59 (which was part of the prize I won from soguesswhat11's YouTube contest). I dotted the bows with blue acrylic paint.
xoxo,
Carol
